Created the slot for the daggerboard at deck level. Glued together 3 layers of 8mm ply to form the backbone of the rudder box. This is the same thickness as the rudder and daggerboard. Glassed 160g glass cloth to the insides of the rudder box.

20171125

Recut the rudder box so that the rudder blade projects app. 6cm beyond the rudder box. Cut 40x10mm meranti from old skirting boards and glued together to create the tiller halves.

20171126

Sanded the insides of the rudderbox. Glued the backbone of the rudder box to starboard inside. Cut 40x10mm meranti to strengthen the sides of the rudder box. Sanded the tiller halves.
