Not much time to work on fitting out Hatseflats because I was going to play with a concert band in Utrecht. Today's progress:
  • Fixed the 'bleater' to fixate the forward position of the boom (tack is now 30cm in front of the mast).
  • Created dyneema strops with beads to position to tacks and clews on the yard and boom.
  • Tore one of the belaying pins to pieces. Now considering the use of 20mm belaying pins.
  • Tore one of the carabiners apart. Replaced both carabiners with Wichard carabiners which are much stronger.
  • Mounted the vang upside down and fixed take-up point slightly aft of the mast for more purchase.
  • Created temp alloy strips to correct the mast rake
