Building Hatseflats

During this last week I did not manage to do a lot. Because I would have to wait for a week between the last epoxy job and the first paint work I tried to squeeze the remainder of the work within a couple of days. Instead of making a complete mess out of it I decided to take a step back.
On Sunday I added filleted and taped the seams of the double bottom. During the week I wet-sanded the double bottom.
On Saturday I fitted the gunwales. First I buttered the inwales/outwales with epoxy. Then I clamped them in position and fastened the gunwales with gyproc screws to ensure maximum bonding. Fitting the inwales and outwales at the same time was quite hard because you had to keep the upper edges level with the upper edge of the plywoood all the time. I also fitted the tow hook with a large backing plate.
