Building Hatseflats

Chanteloube, Lac de Serre-Poncon. One of the biggest reservoirs in France. No need to dress up in a wetsuit, the summer temperatures are over thirty degrees during the daytime. It is less windy than Holland or Denmark, but this is compensated a bit by sunny weather and beautiful scenery. I did capsize a few times however, and found that when the boat turned over, the daggerboard fell out of its slot. Afterwards I installed a carbine hook on deck to take the strop of the daggerboard so that the daggerboard stays in place after a capsize. Sailed many times with Klarie to Savines-les-Lac which is halfway the lake.
