A couple of weeks ago I found a lecture about Dinghy Cruising on YouTube. It was presented by Roger Barnes at the RYA Dinghy Show of 2015. The concept appealed to me because:

  • Trailering a small boat allows you to go sailing anywhere
  • Small boats can explore places which are out of bounds for bigger boats.
  • It is much easier for small boats to take shelter.
  • Open dinghies with camping gear are more fun to sail than pocket yachts.
