I made a model out of photo paper to get a better feeling for the design and discuss it with my friend Marinus. I printed panel parts to A4 paper with my old HP plotter and stapled them into panels. Then I cut the panels out and taped them together. Finally I made a paper mannequin to scale to get a better feel for the dimensions. Marinus was pleased with the hull form:
  • broad transom helps sailing at speed.
  • narrow bow should make the boat less wet than other prams.
  • vertical topsides are practical and look OK.
